Incredible vintage fringed poncho with alternating dark and light brown stripes with four alpacas found across the wide dark brown stripe in the center. The yarn feels very soft, almost silky on the hand, but the long "hairs" (see close-up) might irritate those who are sensitive to wool. This appears to be handmade.
MEASUREMENTS - taken flat, w/ knit relaxed. Double for circumference for neck.
Tag Size: none
Neck Opening: 10 1/4 inches
Side Length (from collar, excluding fringe): 29 inches
Front Length (from center collar, excluding fringe): 23 inches
Fringe: 5 inches
No fabric content tag, but I suspect this is alpaca or alpaca blend.
Condition Notes:
It looks like there is a skipped stitch on the front (see close-up of light brown stripe). You can see where some yarn strands were tied off on the back left shoulder. A fringe has broken off at the back.
The dress form has a 33 inch bust, 26.5 inch waist, 32.5 inch drop waist, and 36 inch hips.
Will my item be clean and ready to wear?
Items that can be washed are cleaned prior to being photographed according to care instructions (unless otherwise specified), but may pick up odors from being stored despite efforts to prevent this (think having to rewash some seasonal items when you take them out again, despite having washed them before storing them). I store wool items with cedar blocks to help with freshness and deter moths. Please message the seller if you have any additional questions.
